"Insomnia" (2024) is 3 years of difficult work in and out of the studio.
Much of Denour's individuality is a consequence of life-long isolation. Having no outlet to
socialize or express resentment for the hand he was dealt, instruments quickly became an escape,
and later a tool to rewrite the terms of his fate.
There was a lot of internal debate about the impact of collaborating for this first release.
It was ultimately decided that any nuance would be lost with too many voices in the writer's
room. Seeing how this first album is the culmination of Denour's various stylistic influences
and background in live music, the decision was met with catharsis. A return to his solemn roots
of playing alone behind closed doors.
